Annunciation Day School

Annunciation Day School (ADS) serves a diverse community of Preschool - 8th grade students providing an education grounded in respect, compassion and academic excellence all within a Christian Orthodox community.  We are one of only ten Orthodox parochial schools in the nation accredited by COGNIA (formerly known as Advanced ED) and the Georgia Accrediting Commission.

What will you find about ADS that sets us apart from other private schools?  First, our small classroom sizes.   With a maximum student to teacher ratio of 16:1, each grade offers more individualized learning and attention, and fosters creativity.  Second, 70% of our faculty hold masters degrees or higher.  Our teachers are highly trained and keenly tuned in to the needs of our students.  Third, is our Christ-centered environment.  Students begin and end each day with prayer, participate in weekly religion lessons and attend church services twice each month.  Lastly, we encourage giving back to the community.  ADS engages in various service projects throughout the year as part of the curriculum such as providing food & clothing to various local shelters, making blankets and lunches for American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge at Emory, and more.

ADS also provides specials throughout the week including PE, Art, Music and Language classes with choices in Greek or Spanish.  Beyond the classroom, ADS offers morning and after care options, after school clubs, Middle School competitive sports in basketball, soccer, volleyball, and cross country.  We invite you to become part of our wonderful school family centered in Christ, Children and Community.  For more information, please visit www.annunciationdayschool.org.
